Bears Repeating

I was asked over the weekend my thoughts on the irate Scott Galloway finding out that he was on the receiving end of such things he, similarly, openly called for with people he took issue with.

Suddenly the (snark alert) I’m really smart, important and rich! Prof. G. is finding out that those who truly hold the views he liked to openly quote (e.g., Lenin et al.), care not a rats arse what he thinks. They only care about whether the transfers of wealth occur in public view or, behind a woodshed. Notice I said it’s only about the place, not whether it occurs. Welcome to communism/socialism 101 comrade, is all one can say.

People such as this forget all too soon (or never considered it ever pertained to themselves is more the probability) that espousing anything warm and fuzzy pertaining to Socialism or Communism are known colloquially as “useful idiots.”

Lenin is laughing mighty in his climate controlled grave, I’m sure.

So rather than rehash my discussion, I thought it was only fitting to repost the last time I opined on Mr. Galloway, in full, as it appeared here over a year ago. However, what you’ll soon see is the points I was addressing then are even more telling today in today’s light. To wit:

Galloway The Shrill

Over the years, I’ve written many times about my thoughts concerning Scott Galloway. Let’s just say, for brevity, I’ve never been impressed with his “insights” nor his shtick for trying to impress “the cool kids,” both in the media as well as Silicon Valley.

It’s been precisely for this I’ll get a note from someone to the tune of “Did you see what Prof. G. said about x, y, or z the other day?” Trust me, even when I have, I could care less. i.e., I don’t need to hear or see a 60-year-old academic teacher trying to act and talk as if he’s trying to impress a classroom of college kids with a sense of “I’m still cool!” It falls pathetically flat and laughable from my view, but that’s just me.

However, when it comes to many of his theses for what those budding young minds should do going forward into society, it’s just simply pathetic. But it’s actually worse than that. For all the so-called “capitalistic” things he’s both enjoyed and enjoying, he’s also a guy that likes to quote Lenin (not a typo, yes, that Lenin, not Lennon) and also seems quite mightily resolved to spread all that “Russian propaganda” stuff. Don’t take my word for it. Here’s the NYT™ writing up what would, to some, be a glowing piece of his thoughts. But if you read it, it’s actually a damnation with what we all now know was always complete and utter made-up media lies for clicks and propaganda purposes. Lenin would be proud, just sayin’.

The latest that’s prompted this note was a discussion he was having with whom has appeared to be his “wing-man” concerning any of this tripe, Kara Swisher. These are two people that are, supposedly, tech aficionados. They, again, supposedly, know all the ins and outs of lean startups, disruption, change the game operations and so forth. And yet: they do nothing more than sound like complete fools and party loyal elitists shrieking at the clouds. It’s beyond pathetic to just plain moronic.

Again, here’s what you need to understand overlying this entire diatribe of tripe…

Anyone, and I do mean anyone, whose first impulse is to call for…

“I want to know what their names are, and I want to see Democratic governors saying ‘I’m gonna do everything I can in my power to use the full faith, to the letter of the law, to put you folks in prison,'” said Galloway, adding, “I think what you’re doing is trespassing. I think this is a coup. And be clear – just because the new insurrectionist who was elected… I don’t believe this is legal. And I’m gonna hold the people accountable who are trespassing and part of a coup accountable.”

Is a F’n pathetic loser and his academic credentials should be removed. He should also be shunned by all those that, supposedly, think he’s just great and really smart. He’s neither in my opinion. And just this latest singular quote above proves my thesis was right from the very beginning.

ADDENDUM: On Tuesday, February 18th the following transpired. To wit: Pres. Obama appointed US District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan (Yes, the very same, Judge Chutkan) has denied an emergency filing to block DOGE’s access to federal records and government layoffs – saying that the 14 states who brought the lawsuit have failed to meet the burden of proof to prove “imminent, irreparable harm.”

The reason why it’s important (usually I could care less) to list she was both appointed by Mr. Obama, as well as, the very same judge that is in charge of Pres. Trump’s Jan. 6th case is important in the fact that – if there was ever someone that you could point to and say there were “biased” in their opinion, this would be a text book example. And yet, she showed quite the opposite making Mr. Galloway and his co-pilot’s screed all the more intellectually vapid than when they first mouthed it. Case closed, literally.

Addendum #2 : Headline “Justices Grant DOGE Access to Social Security Data and Let the Team Shield Records” New York Times™ June 6, 2025.
Need I say any more?

You can think what you want about Elon Musk (for I have expressed my own views there, and they’ve been far from flattering) as well as Mr. Trump (again, I have also done the same there), but what you can’t think is that you know they are doing things illegally or that they are accessing things “illegally,” and more. At least, not yet. Indications are they are all, so far, within the legal framework. But again, we shall see.

Are they doing things we’ve pretty much never seen prior and in a manner that is like taking a sledgehammer to a box of chocolates? Yes. But I would remind “Prof. G. and Crew” that this is exactly what the American voting results showed it wanted: disruption, accountability, and some answers to exactly how much those “box of chocolates” taxpayers have been paying for.

What those results also proved, in spades, that the ideas and opinions held by the likes of these two were not only shunned – but hopefully – literally being thrown into the dustbin of history. If you listen to them you may infer that someone also threw in a match, because the inflated hysteria coming from said dumpster appears to be way past 11.

Just to be clear: none of this means I’m some MAGA fanatic or Elon Musk fan boy. When it comes to politics I don’t take sides in my arguments. That’s for the others. However, what I will comment about is what said political issues affect business or the country and why. And as we sit here today in only the first week of February what I do feel comfortably saying is this…

If you’re one of those that ever looked at media like CNN™ and more and asked: how did a media institution lose all its credibility and more to be turned into nothing but a place to watch a dumpster fire? Look no further than these two.

Lenin would be proud.
